A stiff neck is a condition where you feel pain every time you move your head from one side to the other. It is often a result of stress, sleeping awkwardly for a long time, sports injuries, and poor posture. The neck becomes stiff due to a sprain in the levator scapulae muscle thereby causing a headache, and pains in the shoulders and arms.  Fortunately, we’ve discovered a novel way of treating this difficulty, and it’s got something to do with a rolled-up towel. Physical therapists frequently use them to effectively soothe hurt muscles by adopting the weight of the body as a technique to perform a moderate stretch.

The video below, taken from care4body’s YouTube channel shows how to properly place a rolled-up towel. Place the towel under the shoulder in the affected area, then put your arm over the head. This technique is so super effective it works in just 10 seconds as you can observe from the happiness on this young woman’s face when the pain disappears.
