A good’s night’s sleep, meaning at least eight hours, is a great thing that’s sadly overlooked in our society. Some of that stems from busyness, but some of it is simply trouble falling asleep. As such, there have been many methods that center on helping one sleep deeply like feng sui and using Himalayan salt.
More Than Sleep
So how do we get eight hours of sleep? Well, this article can show you a method that connects the use of essentially oils with a night of bliss.
You will need chamomile, magnesium, and lavender.
People have been using chamomile for centuries (chamomile tea anyone?). While the tea is pretty useful, its oil brewed in tea will really help you chill out
Magnesium is great; it had many positive healthy effects, and is particularly knowns for how it affects indigestion, anxiety, cramps, and insomnia. It’s not exactly an oil, but it does look and feel like one. Apply it on your face and you’ll probably feel a tingling sensation.
Lavender’s is well-known as a stress-reliever, and it’s especially potent in its oil form. In fact, most people dilute lavender oil because it’s so strong. Dabbing a few drops of this stuff on your pillowcase will do you wonders. Just don’t use it on children.
Why The feet?
Foot baths area great way to detox. Ever heard of a clay bath with some bentonite clay and water? This bath will draw out toxins from the feet.
Consequently, the feet are an excellent place to absorb essential oils, because they have more pores than any of part of the body. Also, your feet are liked the rest of your body and massaging, or stimulating, specific parts of the feet can enhance your health.
DIY Foot Spray
- 10 drops chamomile essential oil
- 4 oz. of magnesium oil
- 10 drops Lavender Essential Oil
Get a 4 ounce or larger spray bottle and pour the ingredients inside. Shake well and then have at it. This recipe will get you 24-26 applications. And more importantly, you’ll be sleeping blissfully in no time.
