Single ladies and men wonder why this happens; well pregnancy is what every married woman gets excited about, however it comes along with some discomfort. Asides the change in nutrition, movement and general life activities, they also experience some absurd conditions.

The question is, why facing the left side? Sleeping sideways and facing the left side position enhances the nutrient intake of the baby and blood supply via the baby’s placenta.
Another appropriate sleeping position during pregnancy is by placing a pillow at your abdomen region if experiencing severe back pain.
For heartburn conditions, a pillow or a form of support should be place at the back to raise the upper part of the body and also another pillow being place at the abdomen.
Sleeping on your left side and being supported with pillows is the ideal sleeping position for pregnant women that experience shortness of breath.
In special cases where one of these sleeping positions does not make you feel comfortable, it is advisable to alternate all methods to get the best comfort for you and your baby at night.

Many pregnant women sleep in manners that can be detrimental to the health and development of the baby in the womb. Facing the bed and sleeping on womb should be avoided it adversely affects the baby.
Sleeping on stomach:
This position should be carefully avoided to prevent the baby from undergoing developmental problems.
Sleeping on back:
This position is attributed to a lot of health hazard, sleeping on the back reduces the blood pressure, causes respiratory problems, constricts blood vessels which decreases the flow of blood around the body and to the baby and affects digestion which limits the intake of nutrients by the baby.
Having the best sleeping position at night is as important as your nutritional habit.
